On 8th September, the Sudbrook and West Willoughby Village Hall hosted its Annual General Meeting, marking an important moment for our community. The evening began with a heartfelt thank you from the Chair, who expressed deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the outgoing committee over the past year.

In accordance with our village hall charter, the entire committee formally resigned, paving the way for a fresh election. Many familiar faces were re-elected, bringing continuity and experience to the team. At the same time, a few long-standing members chose to step down, citing other priorities. Though sad to leave their roles, they shared their enthusiasm to continue supporting the committee through event attendance and ad hoc help whenever needed.

Following the election, the newly formed committee wasted no time in looking ahead. Plans are already underway for several exciting events, including a Curry Night, more of our popular Friday Night Socials, and the much-loved Christmas Sing-Along, which promises to be as festive and joyful as ever.

We’re grateful to everyone who attended the AGM and to all those who continue to support our village hall. Together, we’re building a vibrant, welcoming space for all to enjoy.
